As seven years have passed since the events of SGD Season 3, most characters can expect to have received a promotion or two. The easiest way to work this out is to check your character's rank or paygrade on the final Delta personnel list and add one or two promotions.

- Military characters are welcome, and encouraged, to have moved into civilian or government positions;
- All Academy cadets would have graduated by now - please refer to Cadet promotions; and
- Senior personnel would be expected to retire from the military after 30 years service (Title 10 of the United States Code).
