Background Information
Personal History: Adam was born into a relatively normal family. His parents both had regular nine-to-five jobs, his dad being a dentist and his mom a librarian. He enjoyed baseball and other sports as a pre-teenager, and excelled in computer skills. He attended Alta Loma High School for all four years, graduating a year early through a special program aimed at preparing students for college. Adam received numerous scholarship offers his senior year and had accepted one to the University of California when news arrived that his brother Mark had been killed in a “training accident”. Angered to find a terrorist attack in Asia coincided with his brother’s death, Adam when to the local Army recruiter and signed up as an active-duty soldier under Option 40. Much to many close friends and family’s dismay, he fulfilled his obligation as a US Army Ranger & Special Forces Sergeant, culminating his eight-year enlistment in mid-2002. Upon completion, he was offered a posting at the US Military Academy at West Point, which he accepted. During his freshman year, he was approached about the Stargate Academy and immediately accepted.
Service Record: Attended Army JROTC at Alta Loma High School in California. Upon completion of school, enlisted in the United States Army at the advanced paygrade of E-3, Private First Class, graduating on September 4, 1994. Upon completion of One Station Unit Training (BCT & AIT), was sent to Airborne School and then the Ranger Indoctrination Program (RIP). Assigned to the 75th Ranger Regiment before being sent to Ranger School, where he earned the coveted gold-and-black Ranger tab. One year after becoming a Ranger, volunteered for the Green Berets, US Army Special Forces. After the grueling nearly year-and-half long school, Adam was promoted early to Staff Sergeant (as all SF soldiers attain E-6 upon graduation, regardless of time in service) and earned the green beret. He served in that capacity until mid-2002 at the end of his enlistment. Following his graduation from the US Military Academy with a degree in Defense & Strategic Studies, he was trained as an Infantry Officer. Due to his time at the Stargate Academy and his experience in Special Forces, Lieutenant Collier was offered a position with Homeworld Command as a Tactical Specialist.
Assigned to field operations, Collier's team members were front and center for the Lucian Alliance infiltration into Homeworld Command. Starting as a concerning mission, the task of taking down the evil organization began to consume his entire life. He shoved family and friends aside, and it changed him until one day, an old friend showed him the error of his ways. Confronted with the realization of how he was hurting her, Adam began the road back to regaining control of his life. He struggled with balancing his professionalism with returning to the compassionate man that had turned him to his life in special forces.
When the Lucian Alliance was finally taken down, it was if a great weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Even still, things were not all back to normal in his personal life. When the Ida Expedition came about, he welcomed the opportunity to rejoin his friends and colleagues.

Family: Father: Dennis Collier – Dentist

Personality: Like most Special Forces operators, Collier has a sharp intellect often disguised by his seemingly cocky attitude. His experience in the field gives him a confidence few have the history to justify. To the few friends he does have, he is loyal to the last breath.
His long service in Special Forces taught him to value life more than most. Having lost many friends and battle buddies in the field, his dedication to those around him is unparalleled. It was not until he became a commissioned officer that he allowed his strong desire to help people in any way he could come to the surface. Assigned to Homeworld Command, he grew very close to his team mates and colleagues, and even developed a relationship with one.
The fight colloquially termed the “Five Year War” between the Lucian Alliance and Homeworld Command’s allies took a toll on Adam. No time in his career had he witnessed the atrocities and bloodshed on such a monumental scale by mostly humans. Burying his empathic ways into the deep recesses of his mind until the war was over, Collier had a harder time recovering than he expected. He is in the process of mending both friendships and relationships with those he distanced.

0207 Hours
Highway Enroute to the Pentagon
Washington, DC
Adam Collier was sitting in the second-row passenger-side seat of the up-armored Jeep Grand Cherokee when the Jeep in front of his exploded.
Ducking his head slightly in recoil, Adam turned toward the driver, who was already swerving to avoid the flaming vehicle. At highway speed, their Jeep narrowly avoided hitting the exploded Jeep and skidded to a stop on the side of the highway, with the third Jeep coming in close behind. Adam and Steve Carson, also in the back seat, exited their jeep with their Glock 18 automatic pistols drawn, scanning the nearby area for threats. Moving to the damaged Jeep, it seemed most of the passenger area was unharmed. A piece of debris had launched through the windshield and impaled the driver. Steve moved to help the driver, while Adam went to the passenger rear door and knocked on the glass, shouting, “Senator, General, are you injured? Open the door, it’s Collier!”
The door opened, and Jax Connolly looked out, “We’re unharmed. What the hell happened?” Adam shook his head, “Unknown, some sort of bomb to disable the vehicle. Let’s get you two into the other vehicles, we can’t be sure –” As he said that, automatic weapons fire issued from their rear somewhere, as well as their front. Both the General and Senator were out of the vehicle at that point, and Collier and two other Homeworld Command agents covered their bodies with their own. Assessing the distance between the two vehicles, Collier took a deep breath and called out, “On my three-count, we move! One, two.. ”
