Background Information
Personal History: Born in Kodiak, Alaska on March 12, 1969. Father was a Coast Guard rescue swimmer, and toted Robert around from station to station. His mother died shortly after he was born, and Robert was raised mostly by his older sister. Following high school in California, Robert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. At that time, his father had just been promoted to Captain in the Coast Guard, and was the Captain of the Port for San Diego. While his father was initially disappointed at his choice in careers, he supported his son in the end. Robert graduated from Boot Camp, ending up assigned to the Reserves in North Carolina. There, he pursued his degree in Ancient Cultures & Languages at the University of Virginia Richmond. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, he applied for OCS, which he attended the following fall and winter.
Attended Navy JROTC in high school, eventually achieving the rank of Cadet Commander. Due to his time in JROTC, he was promoted to Private First Class upon completion of basic training for the Marine Corps on October 3, 1986. When Robert graduated OCS, his reviewing officer described him as “one of the best officer candidates I have seen during my time here.” His first posting as a Second Lieutenant was as an EOD team leader at Camp Pendelton. His CO at the time, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick White, kept a close eye on him. Two years later, he was told that he was selected for Force Reconnaissance. He accepted, and endured the grueling training that came afterward. As a Recon Marine, he underwent several operations, known and clandestine ones alike. In early 2004, he was slated for Company Commander of the 1st Force Reconnaissance Company. However, he was approached the same week and briefed on the Stargate Program. Torn between the two options, he hesitated on which one to choose. He had served faithfully with Force Recon most of his career and would be the top officer in the company, as well as be promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. However, the Stargate Program was too good of an offer to pass up. Robert chose to stay a Major and join Stargate Command. After accepting a role, he was trained as an SG team leader, ending up with the Delta Site expedition.
After a series of classified events and physical recovery following his assignment to the Delian Galaxy, Walker accepted a position with Homeworld Command. Following the defeat of the Lucian Alliance, he was appointed as Commanding Officer of MARSOC's Marine Special Operations School and promoted to Brigadier General.

Family: Father: United States Coast Guard – Vice Admiral (Ret.) James Walker, resides in Texas
Mother: Waitress -- Deceased, complications of childbirth March 13, 1969
Sister: Vice-President of Public Affairs, Cenrtix Corporation
Wife: Katrina Logan-Walker
Son: Robert Walker, Jr.
Personality: Having been raised around the uniformed services with his Coast Guard officer father, Robert was bound to join the military in some form. The strong-willed teenager chose the Marine Corps over his father's Coast Guard connections to make his own path - and a path he did forge. Ambitious and full of patriotism, Walker chose the fast-track to Force Reconnaissance, considered at the time to be the Marines' response to Special Operations in other services.
Walker spent most of his career laser-focused on going wherever his country needed him at the time, and he was fine with that. He chose to avoid serious relationships altogether, with his longest "commitment" being six months' time with a photographic journalist while on assignment in Africa. It was not until he was (what he thought) nearing the end of his career that Robert began thinking of the things that he had missed out on: family, closeness, children.
When he met Katrina Logan, there was no way he would have expected they would have the life they did. Assigned to his Special Operations / Search & Rescue team with the Delta Site as a junior field medic, Walker initially had every intention of getting her reassigned off his team, if not back on Earth altogether. Something about her surprised him, though: she was actually proficient. More than that, she was actually damned good. What really got his attention was her compassion and dedication. With his team's task being whatever it took to bring others home or complete the assignments others deemed ill-advised or not possible, the two grew closer than he ever would have allowed in the past.
It wasn't until their unexpected child died before birth and Katrina's abduction and conversion into an enemy agent that Robert realized his true feelings for her. He vowed to her that he would get out of this line of work, and requested a reassignment back to Earth. A special assignment ripped her from him without notice, and the physical and psychological damage in its aftermath spiraled him into an abysmal state. When he finally recovered, he found her.
Married and now with a child of their own, Robert chose an assignment with Homeworld Command where he could be home more. Dedicated to his family the way they deserve, he kept his promise, and left the Stargate Program when his "unfinished business" with the Lucian Alliance was concluded, choosing MARSOC's training school as his newest assignment. Katrina and Robert are able to be much more a family with him serving as a General, and Walker hopes to end his military career in the near future.

Striding down a hallway, Robert was contemplative of his upcoming meeting with the new commander of the Israeli Defence Force's Shayetet 13. The Israeli equivalent of the United States Navy SEALSs, their new leader had faced surprise and considerable animosity at his request that the unit be cross-trained with MARSOC, the Marine Special Operations Command, instead of the traditional BUD/S school members had gone through in the past. His reasoning had been that the modern-day Marine operators were more diverse in their tasks and more widely-used than the SEALs, and that the ground-pounding mentality of the Marines was more "up the right street" (his way of interpreting "up their alley") for Shayetet 13.
Checking out of the command complex, Robert was walking to his vehicle when his pocket began to vibrate. Extracting his phone, he smiled at the display and answered with pauses while she spoke, "Hey, babe ... just leaving now actually ... Friday the 6th? I think I can make that work ... no, I'm not positive but you know I'll try my best ... wait, Jim Connors, the Ambassador? Mmhmm ... yeah, that works ... dinner sounds great that night with them, did you get with protocol already to arrange it? ... No, darling, that's what they get paid for, let them set it up ... I know, I know, and I love you for it ... yeah, yeah ... *chuckle* ... well, being a General's wife means you have to let some people do the fancy stuff, even in our own home ... yes, I know the house is too big ... well, I don't think diplomats would understand the 'comfort' we took in that smaller space ... yes, I know you love me ... and that ... alright, kiss him for me, I'll be home in a bit ... love you too." Hanging up the phone just as he got to his vehicle, he unlocked the door to get inside for the 25-minute ride home.
